Performance Measures for Traffic Signal Systems: An Outcome-Oriented Approach

Overview

Purdue University conducted research on traffic signal performance measures, and collected data relating to events like changes in detector and signal phase states. This is a report done detailing the data collection and management--how it was done and where the data was collected. A few of the focuses of the report are System maintenance and asset management and signal operations. There are also performance measures for nonvehicle modes and modes that require signal preemption and priority features. An assessment of the impact of signal retiming activities is demonstrated through time travel data.
