NACTO/NOCoE Joint Webinar: Traffic Incident Management--Lessons Learned in Seattle

On October 21st, 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., NACTO and NOCoE will hold a joint webinar on lessons learned regarding the City of Seattle's response in planning for and responding to major traffic incidents on its roadway network prior to a crash in March 2015. This webinar will tell the story of what went wrong, and how Seattle brought in a team of consultants and nationwide experts in the field to help them improve their Traffic Incident Management program. ATC Application Programming Interface Reference Implementation Demonstration and Training Workshop

October 28, 8:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m., AASHTO, ITE and NEEMA present the ATC Application Programming Interface Reference Implementation Demonstration and Training Workshop. This workshop takes place during the ITE 2015 Fall Conference in Tuscon, AZ. The Advanced Transportation Controller (ATC) family of standards provides an open architecture hardware and software platform that can support a wide variety of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) field applications. Under USDOT funding, a software reference implementation of the ATC 5401 Application Programming Interface (API) Standard has been developed called the called the APIRI software. The APIRI software is designed to be incorporated into all ATC units going forward and provides modern computing capabilities for ITS field applications for today and the future. This ITS milestone will impact how agency and private practitioners procure, design, build and deploy ITS solutions. Please CLICK HERE to register and for more information.

Implementing ICM: Scan Findings, Updates and Next Steps

On November 17, 2015 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., the National Operations Center of Excellence and National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) are cosponsoring a webinar featuring the outcomes of a scanning tour on Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) conducted as part of the U.S. Domestic Scan Program.
