Overview
NOCoE held the V2X for TSMO Virtual Peer Exchange on April 14, 2026. This peer exchange was a follow-up to the in-person session at the TTI Rellis Center in College Station in 2025 and participants were again invited to share activity updates and learnings.
The four-hour agenda included updates from USDOT, project updates from the three USDOT V2X Accelerator grant sites, presentations from a handful of state and regional deployments, and a closing roundtable. About forty people joined the peer exchange, coming from TSMO programs, ITS units, research institutions, and connected and automated vehicle (CAV) teams within state and local agencies.
NOCoE has been working on V2X since 2016. The starting point was Signal Phase and Timing (SPaT) applications under the Cooperative Automated Transportation Coalition's SPaT Challenge. Two earlier V2X peer exchanges followed: Salt Lake City, hosted by Utah DOT, and Phoenix, hosted by Maricopa County DOT. The 2025 College Station event built on those events and this 2026 virtual exchange kept the thread going.
