North/West Passage TPF Study Work Plan: Phase 5

Overview

This document is a report on the projects accomplished in Phase 5 of the Work Plan. The purpose of these projects is to keep progressing towards the TPF's ultimate goal of developing more effective methods for sharing, coordinating, and integrating traveler information and operational activities across state borders. The Phase 5 projects included Citizen-Assist Reporting, Cost/Benefit ITS Tool Evaluation (phase 1), Consistent and Coordinated DMS Use, Use of Mobile Sensors and Maintenance Decision Support for Automated Road Condition Reporting, NWP Regional Permitting (phase 2), and Facilitating the Use of Open Source Software Throughout the Corridor. A detailed outline of each of these projects is present in the document.
