Overview
NOCoE’s Work Zone Management and TSMO Virtual Peer Exchange was held with transportation agency professionals with experience and interest in developing, implementing, and managing maintenance and construction work zones. During the peer exchange, practitioners were exposed to the latest developments in work zone management and discussions were held among peers about practical experience, opportunities, and challenges with different practices.
The peer exchange was virtual using the NOCoE’s Zoom software over a two-day timeframe. The peer exchange included representatives of university research programs, state departments of transportation (DOTs), and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as well as individuals involved in the Connected Work Zone standard development process.
