Summary:

The initiative recognizing all traffic incident management (TIM) response communities will take place this year from November 7 -13, 2021. This week is our opportunity to make a difference individually and jointly for roadway safety during traffic incidents by teaching each other and the motoring public about our common goal and responsibility for safe, quick clearance.

TIM professionals, State and local public information and communications officers, Response community leaders are invited to this kick-off planning webinar to:

  1. Learn about three parallel planning efforts -  This All States initiative, a collaboration among national associations, and the USDOT local commemoration.
  2. Provide input to confirm focus and direction for this week with a potential renaming effort, which focuses on safe practices during active TIM on roadways.
  3. Hear from and share with peers the initiatives planned to honor TIM response communities and increase public awareness.

During this and subsequent planning webinars, the FHWA co-leads will conduct an all-state roll call, requesting responder communities in each State highlight their plans to commemorate the week. We kindly request highlight be limited to a minute or two.

The FHWA TIM program welcomes agencies to share a more detailed description of an innovative idea (5-10 minutes) or a notable implementation from the previous year. Please contact emira.rista@aemcorp.com to schedule a time during this kick-off or any subsequent webinar to share your success with peers.

Monthly planning webinars will take place on the second Wednesday of each month, please visit NOCoE Webinar Calender to register for future webinars.
